I feel like I have to watch True Blood but I am not liking the direction of this show and what they have done with the characters. I really hope that they pull this out in the last episodes. Just wanted to put this out there. No spoilers just a statement, review, whatever. Kind of suck on True Blood this season. Only bonus is lots of shots of Alcide with his shirt off. That works for me.

Ep - Authority Always Wins

This episode was less frenetic than the first and less intense. Still full of plot and continues the plot lines of the first episode. I continue to think this will be a good season. I really enjoy the fast sequencing and pace of this show and the multiple story lines happening in each episode.

Ep - Truly Truly Truly

First episode of season 5 - we pick up right where last season left off. Tara is just about dead, Sam is being pursued by the pack for killing their alpha ... and more. Not doing a synopsis with these.

I found this episode to be relentless in a good way. The action was non-stop and I was glued to my seat anticipating what would happen next. It really did not stop. I loved it really. I was not all that thrilled with last season of True Blood but this episode totally opened up all these plot points so I have great hopes for this season. We have the Authority, new vamps (Tara for one! OMG) and that old wierdo coming back, the crazy guy (spacing on his name). Anyway...lots happening. And Alcide, my personal favorite as he is so gorgeous. I also have to say I love how they move between story lines so fluidly here and without pause. They don't linger too long on anything and you really have to be paying attention to catch it all.

I found it really good. Strong opener!

For this season of True Blood --- I find that I am wishing that the witch succeeds in her aim. I don't know if that is what they intend but really - I am not finding the vamps very sympathetic and I really want the witch to win.
