Hey hey! I am in much better shape with my Slashy Valentine story. I have 8586 words and I think I can wrap it up shortly. My characters have kissed so it is all good. That is about all I am doing with this one - smoocherinos. I don't feel like doing a major sex scene for this. I might allude to sex happening somehow but I don't feel like writing the A-B-C's of a sex scene. Just no.

Anyhoo. Thanks for witnessing my flailings earlier. I really hunkered down and got to writing and here I am. Almost done! Woot. I think I will pull this one out. I don't know how good the story is. That is a whole other thing. But I have a story. So yay!

So I am sitting here using a tried and true procrastination technique - I am writing this post instead of finishing my story! I am using you, dear readers to avoid my oeuvre. I am sure you are outraged at the thought of it. How low I have sunk!

Well, not low enough evidently.
I lack discipline. I have forbade myself netflix which I signed up for last week (big mistake) and now I am using you.

Anyways. I have 5017 words and am trying desperately to wrap this thing up. Denouement. End. Finis. Conclude.

Just do it!

The story that was written for me was called "Inevitable" by Tehta. It was a time spanning tale of the relationship between Aegnor and Glorfindel. Gorgeous description and realization of First Age time frame while keeping in with canon in an interesting way. I really enjoyed this story and hope you will too.

My story is called "I Hear a Voice on the Wind" and it was written for Zeen. It is the story of Fingon's rescue of Maedhros from Thangorodrim and their love. A bit of tristesse to the tale. I will post it here later but feel free to read it on the site.

Woo hoo! I have finished my story. I wrote the ending yesterday and I have to do some edits to it and tweak it a little bit but I basically have the story done. Angst achieved per my person's request. Yes.

Woot. I am pretty happy. I am going away in August so needed to have this done. Hope everyone else is doing well. khylea will be my amazing beta. Things are moving along.

So - the story I started with is not the story I am finishing with. It was not going well, I was not enjoying it and so I abandoned my first story and started a different one in a totally new direction. Good idea me and it is going much better. I am further along now than I was on the other one. I know when I am avoiding writing something that something is wrong. I usually get really into a story and that was not happening. Jump shift and moving right along. I am deep into the smut now and yeah, YEAH.

1599 / 3000 words. 53% done!

Just getting this bunny idea out there. I have this crazy idea for a fan fic story - Elves and the Zombie Apocalypse. The elves are sent out of Valinor - or a team of them - to try and save the failing second born world from their zombie apocalypse. I think this is influenced by the movies I saw this weekend but it could be fun! I am thinking - Aegnor, Fingolfin and a few other First Agers are sent on this mission. Glorfindel for sure would go. I am thinking somehow Melkor slipping out of the void and being responsible for the creation of the zombies in some lab somewhere.

I might write this crazy idea. Yeah!
