This is better late than never, eh? I know it has been a week since I returned but last week was hellish and I am just catching up on things. So here we shall have an accounting of my vacation with the delightful and lovely [livejournal.com profile] khylea who is so very organized that she kept notes on our activities that I am going to share with you and edit as I see fit...

First off...here is what we did, in casual note form...day by day.

Notes on our vacation... )

So that was the travelogue of the vacation. I have some pictures to go with it which I will post behind a cut here in some kind of order (or so I hope).

*Not dial up friendly*

Pictures from vacation... )

Thanks for looking!

So last week we had Spring Break at the Uni. The campus is blissfully empty and they give us one day off for Spring Holiday. The last Friday of March. It is nice. So I decided to go see [livejournal.com profile] khylea. She my fwiend.

We had oodles of fun...traipsing hither and yon...all over da place. It was a good intro to the Pacific Northwest.

Here is where we went:

Day One: Friday: Leavenworth, WA: The Bavarian Village
Day Two: Saturday: Seattle: The Woodland Zoo, Pike's Market and The Waterfront
Day Three: Denny's *snork* and visiting

So here is the first installment of the picspam. These are the piccies of the Bavarian Village. This is 2 hours East in Washington in the Cascades. Really beautiful. I felt like I was in the Alps.

The Bavarian Village...scenery and such... )

The shopping there was fab and we had awesome bratwurst. Mm mm. Yummeh. Here is the web site for the town. It is pretty neato:

Next up: The zooo and all the fun animules.

But I did take a picture of my fridge just so I could show you my collection of kitschy magnets. Weeee. Ok. I am on vacation and I don't have a lot to do so I think of things like this to post on LJ. Sad, innit? Just humour me.

clickey clack, you know you wants to... )

The latest additions are from the Star Trek thing in Las Vegas, a Hobbiton one and two Wyoming ones. Pretty spiff.

I am off to go rug hunting and use my gift cert at Trader Joe's. Woo hoo.

So it has been a while since I posted picspam. He he he. This is what I did last weekend.

I did lots of nothing on Saturday. Well some stuff. Around the house. On Sunday I went up the Avenue for Mexican food and to Tilden Park again to see nature. Twas fun. The East Bay is where it is at.

East Bay haps.... )

So that is about it. Monday is over and I am heading for bed. Thanks for looking at my pictures. I enjoy sharing them with you. I am hoping to get a digital camera before I head to the East Coast so I can take some really good pictures there.

Night all.

Home today. Felt ill this morning and went right back to bed after calling in to the office. Have had a nice relaxing day. Did manage to stock the house with groceries as I was frightfully low and had run out of coca-cola. Cannot have that. Perish the thought. My fave cookies were on sale. Ohala.

So I forgot to post one piccie to you all. This is the SELF PORTRAIT. It is funneh.

Me me me... )

This was also taken at Tilden Park, while we were BBQ-ing. Hoot.

OK. It is 1:19 am. I have one last thing to do and then I sleep.

Nature. Beauty. La la. I went to the regional park today. We cooked sausages and hung out and then went to the Botanic Gardens (it was not the BotaniCAL Gardens as we all thought). Anyway....here some lovely piccies of the park.

PICSPAM ensues.

I also priced out REAL digital cameras today and the one I want is way out of my price range. At least that is what the guy in the photo shop tried to tell me. I am going to hunt online. I may be able to get some thing there.

More pictures of bushes and trees... )

And no weekend would be complete without a picture of the queen of the roost. The domo-gato. The little Boo-cat. Yep. She in charge.

On her big green pillow... )

So that is it for now. I am off to sleepy land. I am way tired. Please let me sleep late tomorrow. I really want to sleep late but somehow I never do.

Cheers and sweet dreams to all.

So I was walking on my way home. And do you ever notice how you pass things without really seeing them? I have walked the same path to and from work for years. At least five. Well since I got this little phone, I notice more.

The first pic is for [livejournal.com profile] luin77

Morten was here!!! )

OK. Getting a bit more personal now. Here are some shots of the ponderosa. Well the bits that are fit for display. Some parts are a bit cluttered and need to be tidied before I can show you. *hoot* I snuck a gato picture in there since she was sitting right there in the living room. She such a perty little thing. *gushes*

I cropped these for size. Behind the cut for those on dial up. Nothing naughteh here.

Edit: With exterior shot of house.

The home ranch... )

So I have achieved mastery over the phone. I have managed to program in my friends and family and I have changed the wallpaper. I have contacts in there and everything.

I am truly addicted to taking pictures now so more picspam for you. Here are more neighborhood sites for you. These are things I see everyday and are local "Bezerkeley" hang outs.

A bit of local flavor... )

So I tried to size these down for you. I used Paint. I hope they are easier to look at this time. I was going to show you Cody's, the most incredible bookstore in the world but it has CLOSED. *sobs*

OK. Back to work. We have our office BBQ and Swim Party. Better look productive for the morning.

*grin*

So I am like the first astronaut or something. One step for mankind...yada.

Anyways. I figured out the camera part and uploading pics. Be very afraid. Here are some shots of the area around work.

The Avenue and the Uni... )

Stay tuned. I am sure I will post more. I did not edit the pics so I have no idea how they look. They seem a little fuzzy to me. I am not a professional here.
