I am getting some reviews in for the last days of the MEFA (Middle Earth Fan Fiction Awards) reviewing period. I have been a total slacker this year and did not really have time to participate that much. I have a story nominated this year.

I have a second selection of this Rafael dude by Dylan Rosser. He is so hot, he is worth a second look this week. Cheers. I am off to see the Terminator with the kiddo. We are still on our movie marathon this month. Woo.

That is the Middle Earth Fan Fic Awards. Fun. I have some things to select for that and have done some already.

*hugs Rhapsody* You are very deserving darling.

I have started wish listing stories on the MEFA site and there are some wonderful and interesting looking stories to read this year. A great set. Congrats to all nominees.

I have two stories in that were nominated and I want to thank [livejournal.com profile] rhapsody11 for the vote of confidence and for supporting my creative fandom writing in this way. It really means a lot to me.

My stories that were nominated this year are:

A Sleep Over (Galadriel and Aredhel)

In Dreams (Fingolfin/Glorfindel Erestor/Elrond)
http://www.ofelvesandmen.com/Stories/P/phyncke/InDreams.htm

I am tickled. I also did a self nomination this year as I think this one was interesting and I am curious about how poetry works. So who knows:

Yrch Song (Orcs of Mordor marching to Pelennor Fields)

If you are interested in the LOTR/Silmarillion fandom and want to read and vote on fiction, take a look at the MEFA site at:

I have once again received the honor of a MEFA nomination. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] rhapsody11 for the vote of confidence in my work. I am thrilled and excited.

The story in question is entitled "And We Danced" and it is the love story of Aegnor and Fingon set in the First Age in Beleriand. I wrote it for [livejournal.com profile] elveses for the Slashy Santa Swap 2006. I would like to give a big hug and thank you to [livejournal.com profile] keiliss. She is an amazing beta and really helped me shape this story.

Here is a link to the story on OEAM: http://www.ofelvesandmen.com/Stories/P/phyncke/AndWeDanced.htm

For the record, it is the first Aegnor story on that site as far as I can tell.

I am really stunned by this as I was not at all expecting it. I don't put out all that many stories but I do work very hard on them.

It is true you guys! Holy mother of ...whatever...

My story Voices on the Wind won second place in its category for the 2006 MEFA Awards. I am stunned more than I can express here. This is my first story. Well stunned and incredibly pleased.

Congratulations to the other winners and all the other participants. It was a terrific collection of fiction.

I would also like to thank the organizers of the MEFA Awards. It ran very smoothly from my perspective and I think it was well done. Thanks for all the work you did.

Hola. I keep forgetting to do this so I am doing it today while I remember. My story Voices on the Wind got nominated for a MEFA this year. I finally found the buttons and am posting my nomination button.

I am really proud of the story and it is not about the winning but it was an honor to be nominated. Thanks to my nominator Rhapsody for believing in my story. Thank you to Inkling for being my liaison to the MEFA's. She is great and has helped me through the process.

I have not had much time to read over there but I will be making the time now. I voted for the MPA's which was fun. Woot.

I just have to figure out when to do everything for the MEFA's. *points at self* Clueless.
phyncke: (Tiara that Sparkles)
I am stunned. I am shocked. I am thrilled.

I have been nominated for a MEFA Award for 2006. A Middle Earth Fanfiction Award and was nominated by Rhapsody for my story Voices on the Wind. As a first time author this is just amazing and I can hardly believe it. I have been squeeeeeeing for days here. *bounces*

I am posting a button for MEFA, but it is not a nomination button. I will post one of those when it is available so I can shamelessly self promote again. I do not really care if I win anything with this. It is just so frabjous to be nominated. It really is. So winning is not really the thing at all.

So if you are also involved in these awards, look for my story there. I will be reading and reviewing other people's works there.

Thanks for squeeeeing with me.
