For me this is interesting to see where fanfic fits in with the literary world though it has a more academic perspective. It piqued my curiosity enough to grab it.

I am getting some reviews in for the last days of the MEFA (Middle Earth Fan Fiction Awards) reviewing period. I have been a total slacker this year and did not really have time to participate that much. I have a story nominated this year.

I am stunned. I am shocked. I am thrilled.

I have been nominated for a MEFA Award for 2006. A Middle Earth Fanfiction Award and was nominated by Rhapsody for my story Voices on the Wind. As a first time author this is just amazing and I can hardly believe it. I have been squeeeeeeing for days here. *bounces*

I am posting a button for MEFA, but it is not a nomination button. I will post one of those when it is available so I can shamelessly self promote again. I do not really care if I win anything with this. It is just so frabjous to be nominated. It really is. So winning is not really the thing at all.



So if you are also involved in these awards, look for my story there. I will be reading and reviewing other people's works there.
