I cannot post from LJ scrapbook or direct from my computer. LJ is made of (fail) and that is where I post my weekly treat from so don't know what to tell you. I cannot even post previous images. Let me see. I think I can do a link to a previous photo.

Here is placeholder. I have a ticket out with LJ on this issue as I am irate about it.

Oldie but goodie and a classic Herb Ritts there. Sorry gang. Best I can do today. I am not willing to spend time wrestling with this today. That is all I have today.

In other news:

I saw Sucker Punch twice this weekend. I know...excessive? I say no. It was a visual feast and incredible movie that is well worth seeing twice. Two friends wanted to see it and one friend had movie passes so I saw this on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This movie was a gothic melange of different verses with some gaming elements to it (super powers, weapons, fantasy) combined with girl power and a tragic, bittersweet back drop of a story. Some key lines from this are:

"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."
"You have all the weapons you need, now fight!"

My key bit of advice to you is....stay through all the credits as there are treats there for you and additional bits to the movie. Not saying what, just sit there and watch the credits. Gems there and worth the extra time. I don't know about you, but I watch movie credits now as rule just to see if there is anything. Usually there is something.

I got my walk in on Friday and hope to get another walk in today. It has been a bad week for exercise due to the storms. Next week looks like sun and blue sky so I am very excited. Full steam ahead on the walking schedule. I am going to try and add some daily yoga (just 10-15 mins of that) and get back into my daily practice.

So that is me. Work is heading into intensity. Event in Seattle April 13 and awards program wrapping up this month. Lots going on. April is steep and busy. I might be scarce.

Cheers!

I have stepped up my game as far as working out is concerned. I have added the element of weights in there and I am doing power walks 3 times a week. I am pretty proud that I kept up my working out all through the holiday week this week. Really good. I have been plateau-ing as far as weight loss is concerned and am trying to get off that through a new regime as far as fitness is concerned. I also have this goal now of resculpting my body through working out. I do low weights and am really having fun with it. I go to my friend's gym at her club as she goes pretty frequently and then I have a set of free weights at home for when I cannot make it. Then I hike to the Fire Trail (killer) 3 times a week. I am determined. Yahooo. The last time I went up there I got myself going with the mantra of "I conquer the mountain" - a really good visualization. It kept me from wimping out on the top, steepest part. *play Rocky theme song* LOL. Anyhoo.

Back to work tomorrow. *head desk* This is a cruel realization. I really like having time off and could just skip that altogether. Oh wells. I do like work though so it is not so bad but I do have plenty to do on my time off so that is something. I really do love time off.

I hope you have had a great holiday week (in the US) and elsewhere. Cheers to all.

So far it has been a really good day. I have been hanging out at home and doing my own thing. I got up early, had coffee (as always) and then did a really good power walk up to the Claremont Hotel and up the Fire Trail a little bit. Challenged myself and got a bit of a work out. I am trying to step up my game on fitness and move to the next level. I have also added some mellow weight training into my routine (did that last night and a few days previous too) - just free weights and some of those machines for the legs. My idea is to build some muscle so I am a bit stronger and have a faster resting metabolic rate. Yeppers.

I set up my Christmas Tree AND got my menorah all set for Hanukkah next week. Hanukkah starts Dec 1. I am getting my tree done this week so I have some weeks to enjoy it before I head out to NH for the holiday. Yeppers.

So far Thanksgiving has been great and am enjoying it alot. I am going out for a late lunch/early dinner with friends to Black Angus steak house -- which by all accounts is totally full up on reservations and then will be home for dessert here.

So happy t-day to all and hope you are feasting and having fun with friends and loved ones. I feel like I have a lot to be thankful for - work, friends and family. So counting all that into one big thank. Thanks to all of you for being here in the online realm. Counting you in too!

*hugs to all*
