I had a really discouraging day. Not fun in the work thing. I got flamed by a donor (rich rich person with strong sense of entitlement) at the end and this after a long week of struggling with a new email system and sending quotas and tech support nightmares. I have about hit my limit. If I did not have to go in tomorrow, I would not. I would totally take tomorrow off but I have projects to supervise. Honestly - this person's reaction was disproportionate to the mistake I made. I ran it by a friend of mine and he let me know that it was. It does not feel better though. I am really hard on myself. Anyhoo. That is where I am at. Feeling shitty about this.

My job applications have gone no where. I think I need to revamp my cover letter and resume to make them more jazzy. I will work on that tomorrow and pep up my application packet. I think my recent apps are a zilch there.

Anyhoo. Down but not out. I think I am going to have a conversation with my supervisor and go from there. Clear the air.

Ugh. UGH! I feel better having written this all out.

BTW - I am still very tired but in general feeling better. I think I need a good long rest this weekend and I have a spa day planned at the salon. I am getting my hair colored and nails done. Woot. A little self care will do wonders.

Went to the beauty parlour today. Got a dye and cut. Yep yep. I get the best deal in town as I go to the latino shop and they have wicked cheap prices. The color is outstanding and my colorist does just what I want...nice, rich, dark color. My old person used to lighten it too much and did not listen. Dark, I want it dark.

Now I know I look a little bit like Eric Estrada from CHIPS there but go with it. Look at the hair not the sunglasses. Heh. At least it is not another turtle shot.

In other news.

I went shopping at Homes Despot, Homes Desperate...otherwise known as Home Depot. Man that place is overwhelming. I spent most of my time in plantzzz as I find that area serene and peaceful. Then I lounged in the patio furniture and had a little nap. I am lucky they did not think me a vagrant. O.o

Later we had burgers and I took myself off to my own abode.

Here I sit...talking to you at close to midnight. *hugs* Bed for me.

I am late with my last bit of the thanks meme. I missed my entry for yesterday. I got all bizzy. But this thank you has to do with this morning.

#30: Thanks for the beautiful sunrise and for the lovely morning so far. The smell of coffee, my lovely cat and the hot shower. I am just in a wonderful mood and all seems right with the world. I caught the light as it started to glow behind the hills here and it was just majestic. Somehow I never look out the window at that and I did today. It was spectacular.

I will miss doing this every day. We need another meme like this one. Hmm.

I am so glad it is the weekend.

Cal-Stanford game on Saturday at noon. There will be no driving anywhere. I do not want to lose my parking. I got the title to the old beastie car so I can finally get rid of it. YAY. Uhh. That is about it.
