So here I am - have not posted as much this week. It got busy. I will try and do better. I have been working pretty steadily this week and I was supposed to go to Santa Cruz, CA this weekend but my plans canceled which was fine with me. I would have liked to go but I also had things to do at home. With the time saved - I got my apartment clean and did things around here and so I was productive. So that felt good. Instead of that drive - we went to nurseries around here and did local things. It was fun anyway. We plan on taking the trip later in the Spring when the clocks have changed and the days are longer.

My car is having problems. It is the transmission. It has been jerking when I drive it - sometimes. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. So I took it to my mechanic to have it checked and they said it is likely the transmission. They are going to try and service the transmission and see if that solves the problem. I hope that does or I am out the car and cannot afford a new one. So I hope I am not screwed here. I do love my little car - it is a peppy VW Rabbit and it is fun to drive. I just want it to last some time here until I can afford an electric car. Just do that, car!

I find I am not as obsessed with news coverage under the Biden Administration. I don't feel like I have to obsessively watch the news cycle and things are not as disastrous. I watch things weekly and keep up but it is not a daily thing anymore. I can go some days without watching the news and feel fine about it. I guess I feel like the government is in more competent hands. I still have to pay attention but not as obsessively as I did under the Trump Admin. It is more of a what happened this week than a what f*cked up thing happened today. So that is a shift. Staying informed but not stressing about It.

So that is about all I have to talk about right now. Hope all is well with you! Stay healthy!

This is a link up to an article written by Ashley Judd - actress and who has been around in media circles. I really recommend you read what she has to say about appearance and the media different reactions to her own looks there.

About her puffy appearance...
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/04/09/ashley-judd-slaps-media-in-the-face-for-speculation-over-her-puffy-appearance.html

She is cool and articulate and had quite a lot to say about this and in a way she takes on the media establishment. Go, Ashley!

I am posting this video of the Lane Bryant plus sized lingerie ad. This is a clear case of size discrim as I find the Victoria Secret ads JUST as racey as this and they are on prime time network TV. Screw ABC. This girl is gorgeous. Get a grip folks...we are not a country of skinny people. Let's get real. I would love to look like her.

In other news:

-Tonight is Jamie Oliver. I am watching! Hope you are too. Here is a link to his petition:

He is at 463,060 signatures. Pay it forward and pass it on. This is a good thing. It is the last night of the series.
-My event was a total win. We had 100% attendance and everything was great. I had a fabulous time in LA with my brother and his wife and I have pics to share but I left my iphone cord in LA so I will post them when I get that back.
-Work is killing me this month and I have another event next week. Ak. It is my favorite program so I do love it.

Hope everyone is well and I have been reading but I have not had much time to comment. I will update my RPGs this weekend. I promise. I wills!

Cheers!
