So I...

Tidied the house today. This is a major victory as I have not been motivated to do that. The only thing I did not do was make the bed because Ms Thing was lying right in the middle of it and I did not have the heart to move her from her comfy spot. Yes, I prefer the bed made but she looked really comfy there and all. Dare not anger the cat.

I am going to the movies tonight and tomorrow. Here is the line up:

Tonight - John Carter - sci fi epic
Tomorrow - Act of Valor - battle glory of Navy Seals

Looking forward to both of them. This afternoon I am getting laundry done and food shopping. Sometimes I feel like I spend most of my weekend doing chores but that is how it is some times.

On the fan fic front - if you are not reading the Big Bangs by keiliss and chaotic_binky, I suggest you do. They are posting them serial style on their journals. I enjoy each installation in these very creative, long pieces. Total enjoyment. Get your fan fic on and have a look at these.

Anyhoo. This is the state of me and hope you are well and having a good weekend. Work has some issues that I don't care to go into. Difficulties. Anyhoo. I will post on that and bore you with that later.

Cheers!

Blurb-manner update - quick!

-I was able to walk home from work a few times this week. Tendon is on the mend. Yays!
-I got my suitcase unpacked, finally!
-I got word that the people I interviewed with are calling my refs. Good sign but standard procedure. I think the field is very competitive for this one.
-My cat is affectionate and needy. Aww. She even sat on the TV stand in front of the picture to be sure I SAW her. LOL.
-Going to lunch and movies (POTC) with friend from work, R****. That will be fun.
-My apartment needs cleaning. Gah. Better do that. Dust bunnies hopping madly.
-I love coffee, just saying.

Hope all is well with you and your weekend is going great! Nice weather here. More tomorrow. First week of summer, yays!

I really enjoy the idea of the men in the snow thing so I chose another picture from this underwear commercial shoot. We have some frontal for your pleasure and the requisite shot of the posterior that is necessary to make this a Bunday selection. This makes me happy. :P Enjoy!

*not safe for work!*

Today is movie day and the third night of Hanukkah. I will light my candles late and we are going to see The Blind Side. I hear that this is a very good performance for Sandra Bullock, who I really like so I look forward to that. I have liked many of her films and I think she has been waiting for the right movie for her potential. We are going late so...

I am hoping to get my house in order and do some cleaning before going out. I have to organize and de-clutter.

That is all I have and hope you are well. Cheers!

Is an intriguing thing. This one is slightly clothed but I think you will get the idea.

*Sort of safe for work but I still would not*

In other news...

I got a bunch of things done here at the ponderosa. Cleaned and dusted and organized. I am trying to have my space tidy for when [livejournal.com profile] khylea comes to visit at the end of the month for vacation. Not that she is a neat freak but I like to have things done etc. I guess I am the freak. Ha. I am going to order a new couch cover and voila, new living room. I love Sure Fit.

We went to see Julie and Julia last night and I thought it was a terrific movie. For those of us who blog it was a totally fun story about a girl who blogged her way through Julia Child's French cook book. Very inspirational. It juxtaposed the two lives of the real life people, Julia Child and Julie Powell and we watch as they both come into their own. Not to give too much away here but it is well worth seeing. I really enjoyed it and the FOOD. Makes you want to run out and grab that cook book and try those recipes. Meryl Streep is again, fantastic as Julia Child. All the acting was wonderful here and I really loved this movie.

Today I am trying to rest but I should get laundry done. I think I have figured out here that my injury here is just muscle soreness from a very strenuous yoga class. We did some leg intensive work and that was a bit much for me. I think I did not pull any hamstrings or anything, I just am very very sore. So...rest is the key and I will take a hot bath.

Cheers to all and hope you are enjoying the weekend.

So I am here in lovely Berkeley on game day. It is 20 minutes before kick off and it is the Cal-Stanford game. This is the big rivalry. Cal is favored to win by three touch downs so woopety-doo-da. I am staying off the streets and getting stuff done. Actually, right now I am wasting time on the puter. I just paid my bills and I am going to cook a nice breakfast or brunch.

Perhaps I should clean? Hmm.
