Sunday....
Mar. 4th, 2007 08:39 pmStarting with the Bunday especiale, it was a really good day. It was a combination of getting things done and having some fun with friends. I went to the launderama...the famous Bing Wah up the street and did many loads of laundry. I can load them all at once so it does not take that long. Zip. All done at once. Voila. The joys of the laundrymat. No waiting to load one load after the other.
Then my friend J**** called and we went to hang out at the Peet's in Albany and meet one of her teacher friends. We talked about topics ranging from work to religion to politics. It was way fun. Girl talk, coffee talk. "The civil war was neither civil nor a war...DISCUSS..."
Anyways, after that it was off to Oakland to meet the AMAZING local artist, Carol Aust. She is just...*sighs* what a nice person. We went to her house because lucky J**** bought one of her paintings and had to pick it up. *envies* I so want one of her paintings. We talked about that but it is beyond my budget right now. She does incredible figures and people and there is a warmth and life to her work that I really like.
I am posting a few of the ones I really like for you. I think some of her work is has surreal aspects to it too...
( The work of Carol Aust... )
If you want to see more of her paintings you can go to: http://www.carolaust.com/carols_frame.html
Have a good night.
Tomorrow: Moanday...woo.
