Hey all. Just a Memorial Day post here - I am doing ok. Still working from home. Still isolating. I go out for walks and to the grocery store and I wear a mask wherever I go. I am doing the pandemic thing here in California. I feel like I have the routine in place and I am comfortable with it so that works for me. I am not going crazy or anything. It is a little isolating and my hair is getting long but I can deal. It is ok. I am determined not to get coronavirus. I really don't want to get sick. I am still washing my hands a lot and doing the hygiene thing.

My cats were sick for a little bit - My Bear got a cold and then Teddy got it. So I had to nurse them a bit. I took Bear to the vet and got some remedies for him that also worked for Teddy. So that happened. They are both doing better now. They were sneezing a lot and that is how I knew. Bear had a lot of congestion coming out of his eyes and nose. Teddy not so much. Anyhoo. They are fine now.

Have you noticed (anyone in the USA) that food is more expensive right now? My grocery shop is about $30.00 more than it used to be. That is a significant increase. I am getting my usual and it seems to cost a lot more. I don't go crazy with the food either - not a lot of snacks or anything. So just wondered what your experience was in your area.

So reflecting on this Memorial Day - thinking about those who have fallen in our wars. That is what this holiday is all about. It is really not about BBQs and partying. It is about remembering the fallen. So trying to do that.

Anyways. Hope all is well with you there. Take good care.

Hi Jane,
Glad to hear you're keeping well and managing the isolating ok.

It's mad here in the UK with all sorts of confusion as we come slowly out of lockdown. The Government have really messed it up and don't even obey the rules they wrote. Huge death rate which is slowly going down now. But lockdown and instruction came too late here and many people have paid for that with their lives. Mostly the elderly and some wonderful health care staff, who gave their lives caring for the really sick. So terribly sad.

Rob and I are managing ok, and have kept indoors and away from friends and family for the last three months. Thank goodness for 'Zoom' and 'Housecall.'

Glad to hear you cats have both made it back to good health too. I think animals can do so much to keep us sane.

XX Tia.
