So my old dresser had a massive crack that kept getting bigger running right through the top of it. That old bureau had a story. I got that in college at some collectibles store in Somerville, MA for like $25.00. I think it was my junior year when I moved to my first apartment. So I have had that thing for 25 years. That is pretty good. It was beaten up when I got it and certainly looked beaten up today. So my handy man took it to the dump since it was about to disintegrate.

Now I have shiny new dresser...I got it from a friend at work for $30.00, a really good deal on this one too but this is in really good shape. I am still getting used to it but all my stuff fits with extra room. So I am happy.

I thought I would share pics as I was really attached to the old dresser (RIP).

This is the old dresser.

And here is the new dresser (IKEA type):

I guess I am all grown up and should let go of that old thing. It is weird to let things like that go.

I had a cherry bedroom set when I lived in Cincinnati. I paid my cousin $100. for it--- a headboard, nightstand, dresser & mirror... It would have been too expensive to move it out west when I got my new job so I sold it to someone else. *Sniffs* It was so pretty.

Love both dressers... :)

Aww. I know! It is hard to let things go and that was a great deal on those. Wowsie.

I am getting used to the new one. The drawers do open better and stuff but the old one was like an old friend. Hoo.
