So - my chiropractor suggests that I sleep with one of those body pillow things. Her theory is that I keep injuring my back when I sleep at night and using the body pillow will keep me more stationary at night. I go on amazon and order one with a nice cover. All set.

Well no - these things are huge and not easy to adjust to at all. I find it really intrusive to my sleep. Gah! My cat loves the pillow as it presents her with another thing to lie on. The first night I tried to sleep with this thing, I think I made the mistake of wearing a long night gown and that got tangled in it but I just could not get comfortable with it and I did not get any sleep, or hardly any. Finally my subconscious self rejected the pillow and I threw the thing across the room. Unreal.

Do any of you sleep with one of these and have you gone through the process of adjusting to the body pillow? I might try naps with it and go from there. Any way...curse this body pillow thing. Right now, I.NO.LIKE.

I haven't had one in a while and I miss my old one. I did have less back issues when I used one. I'm considering investing in one again... after christmas though.

I guess I will just have to get used to it. Not liking it so far.

I don't use a body pillow but I put a pillow between my knees. (I am a side sleeper) I've done this since I was pregnant. And I sometimes hug another pillow so that is my own version of a broken body pillow!

We have a body pillow. I used to sleep with it all the time but since we went from a full size bed to a twin size a few yrs ago its been in the closet. I think it depends how you are trying to position it that makes it more or less comfortable.

Unfortunately if you are injuring your back at night by moving around and the pillow is keeping you from rest by preventing you from doing so...*sigh* you'll just have to wait and get used to a new way of sleeping. Which sucks, but it will be worth it when you stop injuring your back! So, keep trying and *hugs you lots and lots*

I will just have to get used to it, I think. *huggles*

I've slept with 2 of them for 20 years! I cram one at the small of my back and drape my knee across the other - and hug it. I can barely sleep without them now!

Oh man, I've always wanted a body pillow. They look so comfortable. I guess I just never thought of the size, but now I could see how that might be difficult to sleep with.

Because I'm too lazy to actually buy a body pillow, I bunch up a thick comforter and hang onto it with my arms and legs in my sleep. Maybe you could try that? With a comforter, you could adjust the size of the roll to something more comfortable than the pillow, but it would probably still keep you stationary. Just an idea.

Sorry your back is still giving you problems. :(

Good ideas. My dad thought I should practice with naps and then try sleeping with it. I will see what I do. Thanks, doll. Back problems suck.

No experience with a body pillow. I sleep flat on my back and only roll over on my right side after about 5 hours...and then roll back onto my back at some point. A body pillow would just lie next to me, untouched.

Give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, let Boo crawl on it.

I tried sleeping with it and in my sleep must have thrown it across the room. LOL. I guess it takes some getting used to. Boo does like it as her newest cat bed.

I couldn't get used to my one and ended up throwing it away.
