Oh the pain. A poem for you today...*clears throat*

I woke up in my bed so weary...
The alarm it sounded oh so bleary...
Drank some coffee oh so cheery.
As I trudged on my way to the Uni-door.

The list of MOANDAY complaints so far
-I had to get up at 5:00 am
-Someone at work is going to create work for me and has to stick her big nose in something that is none of her bizziness.
-I spilled sauce on my shirt. I like this shirt.

That is about it so far. Not too bad.

Send in your complaints, your inconveniences...your whatever. I am listening.

*group huggle*

I started my new schedule and getting up for a 7:00 am is much earlier than for an 8:00 am start time. I went back to sleep and was late today but the beauty of it all is that no one was there to know it. Woot. I think I am going to like this new schedule a lot. I will try to be on time though, as ethics demand.

I bought myself a large latte today at Peet's to make up for the horror's of my wake up debacle.

So here I am. n

Lay it on me people's. We have all day to moan here.
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
Meh!

Uhhh...
*bad hair day...really bad.
*I almost ran out of coffee.
*People keep sluffing their work off on me.
*My cream curdled in my coffee this morning.
*I need to get my story to beta by Wed! *ak*
*The cafe messed up my ensalada. Wrong braid and wrong dressing. (see below)

Good things:
*my story is going well! *grin*
*I am up to doing all my work.
*I potted some new plants to bring to work.
*I am generally in a good mood.
*Salad was pretty good in spite of above.

The psychiatrist is now in and we are accepting calls here. Let her rip.

Nothing...going on.

Just this. The telecomm company cut the phone line to our panic alarm here at the office thereby causing an annoying alarm to sound through our whole office. Annoying repetitive beeps...over and over. I finally figured out who was in charge of the device and could get them to handle it.

But cha.

What's minor annoyances have gotten you today?

Share with us all here...

Kind of like group therapy.

Cept on livejournal and you are typing. O.o
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
And a little bit of that...

Moan-worthy:

*student missing...we may have to send in the SWAT team.
*I have been derailed by things POPPING up all day in my worklife.
*which has made it a VERY unsettling day
*I did not sleep enough last night.
*I am tired as all get out.

Good things:
*We keep cracking ourselves up here at the office.
*I love the people I work with.
*The day is almost over.
*Uhhh...

The operators are standing by...let us know what is on your mind.
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
Not much to complain about today. All that went wrong so far was that I spilled coffee on my blouse as I arrived at the office. I got the stain out with cold water though so that was good. *nod*

I am listening, however. It is MOAN-day after all.
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
I am having a pretty good day thus far.

Good things so far:
*Woke up on time
*Good, strong cup of java
*Dressed in stylish, yet professional manner
*Good hair day
*Made a nice lunch
*Got to work early
*Work proceeded better than anticipated and project completed faster than planned

Moan-worthy:
*The weekend is over
*Rain threatens
*I have no umbrella
*I have caused a faculty member to freak out over a deadline. Or is that a good thing? *wavers*

So for all of you who are having MOAN-days. Put in your nickel and lay it on me.

I am listening!

Why is it?

That things converge to make it Moanday? I mean...it is only the first day of the week. Is it really that bad? Well frankly, YES.

1. Woke up at 8:30am. This would not be so bad but I start work at 8:00 am! AUGH! Call in late, scramble, no coffee, no shower, bad hairday. AUGH. I think I slept through my alarm cuz I stayed up til 1:45 am last night. Curse you daylight savings! *shakes fist*

2. Get to work to discover co-worker is out on MOANDAY again. This is a pattern now. She seems to be getting Mondays off. Should we make it official? My other partner in crime here even said..."She does not sound sick...". Now, what does that tell you?

3. Work ensues with all that it entails. O.o I am not quite up to my usual organized self.

4. Lunch. AUGH. Go to Quiznos. Big mistake. Huge line and then huge wait for sub. Something like 40 minutes. I only get an hour here at the Uni. You do the math. I think I have indigestion now. Subway is way more efficient. Will not go to Quiznos again. *makes mental note*

I know that in the grand scheme of things, these are small things. But such is my life, an accumulation of minor incidents into one big gripe session.

/Moanday griping.

Lay it on me. Drop your nickel in the can. *clang*
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
1. Woke up at 7:15. I have to be at work at 8:00 am. AUGH.
2. Hair looks like Yugio so I have to shower this morning.
3. No time for coffee. This makes me a very grumpy person.
4. People are mildly annoying today at work or am I just annoyed. Hard to tell which but that is it.
5. No time to make lunch so I will have to buy it.
6. The cream curdles in my coffee at the office even though it is days away from the expire date.

Frig.

I am not making this stuff up. Small things but they add up to a MOAN-day.

Put in your nickel. Lay it on me.
phyncke: (Federer-Moanday)
So MOAN-day begins with a bang. I am with you [personal profile] lotrangel17!! *raises fist in solidarity*

1. First off it is raining. Just a little but enough so that you need an umbrella. I hate carrying rain gear. HATES IT.

2. I dropped my iPOD on the way to work. Luckily not in a puddle but on the ground. It still works but still. I loves my iPOD.

3. People are aggravating me today. On general principles. I am in a bad mood. Stay out of my way. *grouses*

4. Work situation blows up and it is all down from here. I had to work some on lunch. *growls*

Lay it on me,  peeps. You know you want to. The psychiatrist is now in. Please drop in one nickel.

Postscript: LJ tip. I have discovered the RICH text function in my journal layout. It gives you an editing tool bar in your posting menu. At least it does with this layout, Tranquility II. For lazy people like me it puts all the commands in for you so no more writing the codes. *loves* See if you can do this when you are editing and writing a post. It is at the top, right of the box. Note: I just checked other layouts and I think this works for most layouts. *nod* Woot.
