Having a nice visit. We just had a great night celebrating my brother's 50th birthday. My SIL put on a great meal of prime rib, all these lovely sides along with a bottle of Dom Perignon. The good stuff.

Staying with my parents is interesting..they are getting older and they fight a lot. Part of the reason for my trip here is to do some beginning ideas for their long term care. Trying to get to that.

Any hoo. Posting from the phone. We are going to see The Hobbit - desolation tomorrow. Very exciting.

Merry merry. I am finally starting to feel less sick but was pretty sick for a while there. On the upswing.

Looking forward to New Years and doing nothing. Lol

With Monday off. I am taking a personal day that day with my only goal to watch the Queen Latifah show at 2pm. That is new and I am curious about it.

My interest level is coming back at work. That is good. I am getting more productive. I have my review coming up and have no idea how I will do there. Could be good, could be bad. My boss is fair. So will see. I have not seen any good jobs posted lately so ugh. I looked yesterday.

Tomorrow night I am going to see The Grandmaster by Wong Kar Wei. The first film I have seen by this director/screenwriter. It is the story of Ip Man, the martial artist who trained Bruce Lee. Looking forward to it.

Anyhoo. I like this posting by mobile phone thing. Maybe I will post more.

Happy weekend to all. Love Friday.

My cat went raging through my Tolkien library like a wild oliphaunt causing books to fall all over the place or, more likely.... Some books fell in that corner and now Teddy is too frightened to go near the Tolkien books which may or may not have attacked the poor cat.

Something happened and neither books nor feline are talking.

That is all I may or may not know from the position of the books and behavior of Sir Theodore.

Posting in from Everett WA!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy new year. I don't really make resolutions anymore but I do tend to set a few goals for the year. My one goal for 2013 is that I want to volunteer in my community and help others. I can and will do that. Not sure where yet but am going to research what I can do to make a difference locally.

Be well all and see you next year. Like tomorrow. Lol.

It snowed today and I got that thrill of watching it swirl and come down and make something of the little weather system that is forming to ultimately dump 4 inches of the white stuff. That does not seem like much and is not enough to close schools.

I tried to take a movie of the falling snow with my new digital camera. I found the snow hard to film.

Anyhoo. Here with friends...did some shopping and participated in the last gasp, pre-Xmas retail scene.

I was happy that Obama signed the repeal of don't ask don't tell today. That is done.

I hope you all are having a great time with loved ones, friends and family.
