Today's tea bag...
Jun. 1st, 2011 05:30 pmTravel light, live light, spread the light,
be the light...
Courtesy of Yogi Tea. I admit to picking this tea just for the little phrases on each tea bag. Like a little gift. I do find them inspirational.
Sore throat persists and I am still not feeling well. I will decide about work tomorrow in the morning. Feel feverish and sick. No appetite either. I am zapping it with throat tea and echinacea tea, hence the quote that I am posting with. Two posts in one day.
Heh.

Thought for the day...
May. 5th, 2011 11:08 amI saw this on a gift bag today and it made me happy to see. I thought I would share it with my flist and pass on the positivity.
Yesterday is but a dream
Tomorrow is but a vision
But today well lived makes every yesterday
A dream of happiness
And every tomorrow
A vision of hope.
Indian Proverb
Pass it on if you want or hold it to yourself if you need to. Think good thoughts and live life the best way you can.
Cheers to all of you!

Girl at the Auto Part Store...
Mar. 6th, 2011 07:38 pmSo today I got things done. I had a bunch of things to do. I don't really do a list in writing, I keep that in my head but I had lots to do and hit that. First off, I got the laundry done in the morning. Not all of that as I still have a load of towels and sheets to do but got all the clothes done. Then I went around town and did the following:
-pet food run for little Ms. Thing.
-Trader Joe's - shopped hungry and spent WAY too much
-auto part store
So the auto part store was totally fun. I got a kick out of being the only girl (besides the clerk! which also rocked) in there doing her thing with her car. All the other women in there were with their guy as they did their thing but there I was under the hood, checking my oil, dealing with the steering fluid, changing my wipers...doing my own routine maintenance. Hell, I even figured out how to look up my wiper blades on the little computer database there. I impressed myself! I got slightly hung up trying to get my wiper blades off but the guy there helped me out and lent me a screw driver to do that. He advised putting on in the trunk of my car for such occasions. Heh. I have an extra at home so I think I will do that.
Anyways. I rocked at Kragen, got my hands dirty and feel good about that so I thought I would share the experience. Yeah.
I also got this as a tea bag with my Yogi tea tonight:
May your light become a living universal light.
Something to think about. I am also really psyched that I did walks 3/3 days this weekend - Fri-Sat-Sun - go me (and my walking partner). Rocking that too.

Quote of the day...
Dec. 9th, 2009 09:48 pmThis was in the program at my staff luncheon and I thought I would post it here for the flist.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people...to leave the world a better place...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

One for the blog...
Feb. 21st, 2008 02:42 pmSomeone at work just had this as their signature line. I just love this quote.
“All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill the history books,
all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen
merely from a lack of skill at dancing."
Moliere
So true. I am due an update but the back is not good so I am on the computer in short sittings. More later.

Words to make you think...
Jan. 31st, 2007 06:43 amHope is an orientation of the heart; it transcends the world that is immediately experienced, and it is anchored somewhere beyond its horizons. It is an ability to work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed.
