As many of you are aware, LiveJournal underwent an attack last week which resulted in some downtime and caused other accessibility issues during this time. While the attack is over, some intermittent issues remain which we are in the process of fixing.

We want to take this time to let paid members know that we will be extending your paid time by 2 weeks if you had a paid account at any time between July 25th and July 31st. This time will be added to your account a few days from now. Thank you for your continued patience while we get the site back to normal.

And yet again, they ignore permanent members in their scheme. I know that I have unlimited time on my account so time is meaningless to me. But some (small) gift for the inconveniences that have happened would be appropriate. Permanent members have made a substantial investment in their accounts here and have just as much right to access the site as anyone.

I have raised this issue with LJ and will do so until I get a reply. I think they handled this whole thing badly and this is just the capper for me. I am happy for those of you with paid accounts but really LJ...let's not forget about permanent account holders.

I am peeved. More than peeved.
