Buying a cookie that looks SO good to have it taste terrible, really terrible. I bought a Mexican wedding cookie at the mexican restaurant tonight and took it outside to enjoy in the evening air and it was not sweet enough to taste "cookie-ish" to me. I am usually a fan of the russian tea/mexican wedding cookie but this was really a tasteless interpretation on the theme. Meh, I say, meh! I ate a few bites and then threw it away. It has to be bad if I throw a cookie away. My planned treat gone bad.

I had an appointment at the Genius Bar at the new Apple Store in Berkeley, CA (4th Street) and much to my surprise found that they could fix my phone - replace the glass - and I did not have to get a new phone for twice as much money. I had been trying to fix the glass myself but noted on the comments on Amazon that the non-Apple parts people were using made the repaired phones not as responsive. Figuring that out made me realize that I really should seek a solution with Apple. The great thing about fixing the glass is that I don't have to configure a new phone. That is a pain in the butt. So I am happy and my phone seems shiny and new. Pretty!

I have been wanting to update the flist on the nail situation since some people were interested in that. Well, this shellac stuff is a total win! I got the polish on last Friday and here we are almost one week later and NO CHIPS! This manicure looks like new! Shiny and new! I am thrilled with it. I think this actually does what they say it does and it like an unchippable mani. I usually wreck mu nails in the first day and last weekend I did a lot of wreck-worthy activities - heavy housework, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning and really - no chips. I have to say - this shellac really is worth it. Be warned - it is hard to remove the polish and I plan on having it removed at the salon by the person. So there is that.

I ordered my iPhone today online. The 49.00 refurb dealio. What makes this especially sweet is that we (Uni-folks) get a 15% discount on the recurring charges with ATT so it is a bit cheaper for the monthly plan with them. I am going to cut down my land line a bit and use this as my main communicator. Woo hoo.
