I had an exhaustedly full day of zooming today for work. Lots of meetings. I am truly tired tonight.

I am really here to share that the verdict came in on the Derek Chauvin case. The jury came back pretty quickly with guilty on all three charges for him. I cannot say that happy is how I feel. This is not really something to feel happy about. The jury did the right thing and I am relieved that they did it. I think this is an important decision. I wish George Floyd had lived. That would be better but at least there is some justice now. I have been getting emails from the local Police appealing for calm and all I see is calm outside. We the people are calm - Derek Chauvin is guilty. I think if it had gone the other way - things would have exploded. But that is not happening. It is a beautiful night out - kids are playing in the park across the street and things are calm.

I am watching the closing arguments in the Derek Chauvin trial. This is really painful to watch. The defense keeps using the word "reasonable" - they are trying to plant that idea in the jury's mind. I see what they are doing. I really hope they convict him. Chauvin has got to go to jail for what he did. I hope the jury is not fooled by this at all. The prosecution has done its job here.

What is happening this week. Monday is here. I have work this week. I am getting my car transmission done this week. So that is all happening. Just stopped by to comment on these closing arguments. I hope the jury will quickly convict this guy and be done.

That is all.

Watching the Derek Chauvin trial today was very hard. The testimony of the people that were there when George Floyd was killed. One of them was a mixed martial artist and felt powerless. One of them was an EMT and could not help. All of them had to witness George Floyd die that way and call out for his mom as he was dying. It is just all so horrible to hear from their perspective how it was to be there and see what happened to him. I feel like we all need to hear what they have to say and understand it was like to be there. That powerlessness. The fact that they could not do anything against armed Police officers. Our country has a lot of work to do but I feel like people should be watching this trial. It is important.

That is what I came here to say so I will leave it there. Peace.
