In other news...
I had to work yesterday and had an interesting time. I had to pick up one of the attendees for the event, an elderly woman from D*** (affluent community, suburb) and she was a hoot. She had taken a pain pill right before I got to her house, so she had to take a little nap before we left for the event. And then she wanted to sit and reminisce a lot about her life. This all served to make me very late for the event and I was the person with the event poster and the name tags. All through this I was thinking that I should have had my supervisor K*** take all the stuff to the event as I had known she would get there first and she was not picking anyone up. A small logistical glitch there but it all worked out fine. I was only 15 minutes late for the start and things were ok. We got a little lost on the way over as we took the "back roads route" preferred by my person. Oh well. The event went very well and that was good. I am glad that is over but live and learn.

Today I think I will get some fresh food from the farmer's market. I feel like I have not been eating well lately and not been cooking. So I want to get some good food in the house and get organized to cook this week and eat better. So will do that. There is an art fair in M*** so I will check that out too. Go wander around and look at the lovely paintings. I love doing that.

So here is the big news, gang. I am withdrawing from the big bang fic thing. I did that last night. My story has some big canon issues and I am so far along that I don't think I can fix it without major excavation. I do want to write a story on this subject but feel like I have to go from the beginning again. With my work commitments and such, I don't have time to start over. So I am out. Sorry. I do have other stories to work on so I will do that. I have to let it go. I am not letting the idea go, I am just going to let this story go. I misread a passage and went in the wrong direction with it. So that is that. I am ok with it and I do have plans to do the story, just later.

I cannot stop doing the word meter thing and I am making great progress on my story. I am super excited. The muse is with me and I am keeping her at my house! I feed her cookies and iced tea and she watches my Dish TV. I guess she likes it at my place. Mwahahahaha.
