The Amazon LOTR thing

phynckeI am starting to get excited about Amazon's Tolkien series - not sure what it is called but I just read this article on Rotten Tomatoes -

It looks like this will be a Second Age time frame - with Sauron doing a lot - Numenor - Gil Galad and lots more. I love this time frame. Well seriously - there isn't much I don't like about any age in the universe. But there is lots they can do with this time frame so I am totally going to watch it. It's not really a LOTR series anymore with that timing but that is neither here nor there. It is how people are going to think about it.
Looks like casting has happened and it is starting production in New Zealand. Exciting! Squee!
