Hideous. Leads me to believe that LJ has these new style modules that they are implementing. You have to keep switching to the old version. I wonder how long that will be available. I think the redesign is much colder and shows less information. Absolutely terrible. Gah. Gah, I say!

They do. They hired a Russian designer and let her go to town. Apparently there are screencaps of the full new design in a locked post in one of the Russian only design posts. Someone linked to them on one of the release posts a few months ago but I can't find it right now.

I have things set up on DW and am ready to move. If the option for viewing it the old way is not staying - I am seriously going to consider moving. The redesign is so not eye friendly. I really hate it.

You have to click to show them all. It is almost random as to which friends it shows too. Not sure how that works.

It shows the 50 friends who have been on the list longest -- in other words, a lot of those names will be people you don't have much contact with anymore but wouldn't like to delete. It's ridiculous, so much so that the staff person answering comments said he was querying it as it didn't seem logical.

Why wouldn't it show your most active commenters? People you interact with in some way? That would be too logical. This is absolutely stunningly stoopid. Guess they would have to think. LOL. Then again, it is not really about us.

I saw that too.. it looks horrible! and not really user-friendly
but apparently user-friendly is not what LJ is going for.

is there a fast way to get all the entry from LJ to DW? or do one actually has to copy every single entry?

You can import all your entries at once and comments. There is an 'import content' link on the side bar and it is very easy to do. I did it and it walks you through it. You definitely do NOT have to go entry by entry.

I just took a look at mine and I have to disagree with you and say that it doesn't matter for me either style of my profile page. I think this way is cleaner.
