Hey hey hey - I have not posted in a while but i have super exciting news from the world of work - yesterday my boss called me into his office and I thought - oops - I had done something wrong. But no- he gave me the news that I was getting a 10 percent equity raise ! Yippee! The new dean had announced at our last staff meeting that certain eligible people would be getting raises to get them to equity but I was not certain I would qualify for that but I guess I do! I am so excited. And it is retroactive for 5 months! Double yay! Nice little bonus there.

So that was a great bit of news.

I have a lot going on at work right now but it is all going well. I have a party happening today and will be glad when that is over.

I saw Avengers Age of Ultron and liked it a lot. I do think I liked the first one better though I am still undecided about that. I will need to mull it over. I curse Joss Whedon and his unnecessary character deaths. I won't say anymore on that score. This weekend I am going to see Mad Max - Fury Road. I have never seen any of the older Mad Max films so this will all be new to me. It is getting great reviews so I am excited about it.

10%??!! :O WOW, Janie that is wonderful! We haven't had raises in going on six years. :( If we ever do get one, I hope some of it will be retroactive.

I didn't even know there was a new Mad Max movie. I'll be honest, they were rather depressing to me. The first one is the best, though.

I finally saw SMAUG! *g* I watched it with my niece. LOVE! that elf! xD YUM! Smaug was always my favorite in the books. I know, I know. I'm different. I always pull for the "bad guys." *g* Can't help it!

You finally saw Smaug? Wootles. Yays! Did you see Battle of Five Armies too? You have to see the conclusion too. Go for the whole thing.

I am super excited about the raise. We don't get raises very often here at the Uni so it was great. Hope you get one soon.

Congrats, that is a cool raise, it's an amount you'll actually notice. Great!!! And retroactive - that's very nice.

That character death made no sense to me, not even an inch, nothing. Stupidest damn thing I've seen in a superhero movie. Gah. Only way I'll accept it is if he doesn't stay dead. What? That's how it'd work in a comic *very unimpressed*

It is an awesome raise and comes at a really good time too - I was so excited and we get the retro pay next week! Yays!

I really hope he is not really dead. I liked that character a lot. I was so bummed out by what happened there. And it was not necessary. He had been impervious up to that point so why kill him there? Stoopid.

The new Mad Max movie comes out this weekend in the US. Looks very good and it is getting great reviews. Charlize Theron is starring in it etc.
