A post and a movie review...

So here I am and I am going to blurb and do a quickie post here.

-I am obsessively catching up on The Walking Dead. I have watched most of it now. Who knew? This is brilliant TV in the form of zombie stuff. I tell you. I love this show. Excellent pacing, characters and ick factor all combine to make this my new favorite show on TV. It is an AMC original show and wow. I think Daryl is my favorite character but I love them all. No spoilers here. I am finishing up the last season now. Any Walking Deadheads on my list? Let's chat about this. Comments welcome.

-I saw Man of Steel on Sunday. Oh the dream that is Henry Cavill. I really feel that he embodied the ideal of Superman. Here is my FB post in a short review thing. Man of Steel review - While the film did feel long at times, Henry Cavill made up for it with a great performance as Superman. Lois Lane's role somewhat confused in this and some omissions to the canon in the storyline. All in all a positive but there were some things that could have been edited out here and some things they could have included. Ultimately, I did like it. Adding to this - specifically I wanted to see in the film - the moment when the Kents find the baby that is Kal El aka Superman. That is a moment that should be in the film and is not. I really wanted to see that in this movie. Lost opportunity and I felt the lack. Lois Lane - why does she have such high security clearance when she is a very talented, Pulitzer Prize winning reporter? I call BS on this one. That does not work. There are plenty of things to have Lois Lane do without having her strain credulity and break the bounds of her character. What I loved about this film - Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe as Jor El, Kevin Kostner as Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and most of the performances really - even the guy who played Zod was great. My issues were with the story line, directors decisions and what they showed of canon.

-Had a great Monday today and I hate Mondays. We met with a caterer today for a "let's see if we can do business" meeting and they brought us in a full on lunch sample of their food. Beautiful presentation and delish. The cutest thing were the desserts - tartlets and cheese cake lolipops - basically mini cheese cakes on a stick covered in chocolate - OMG so good. Good way to sell the food by giving us a taste. I might just see if I can work them in. They are a little bit spendy. Have to see.

-My friend's kid N*** graduated from HS last Friday. I went to the ceremony. Had moments of joy and disbelief. I mean - I was there when he was born and now he is off to college next year. Where did the time go.

This post is longer than I planned. I am here and around. Hope all is well with you on your end. I have more Walking Dead on the queue. Got to go!

I really want to see this movie, though I was worried a bit about Lois even before I read your review. Probably forewarned is forearmed, lol - sometimes it's good to know there are bits you won't like and just let them flow past.

I did not get the need to do that to her character because she is so great in the canon - a whip-smart reporter type. The end kind of unraveled really with her expanded role there that strained what I believed she would be doing. Plot points really though as I liked the acting. Amy Adams made a cute Lois even with her reddish hair. It was unnecessary too, all this stuff. That was why I found it really annoying. Lois was pretty cool already.

Walking dead is awesome. I've only seen up to the first episode of season three. I tried watching sea. 3 on tv project something or another but it kept trying to download weird stuff on my computer. So I have to wait til it's on Netflix or DVD. :(

And yeah, Daryl kicks ass. :D

Love Darryl and I find all the characters interesting for different reasons. They all really grow and change. That is what makes the show so great. Good show.

I love The Walking Dead. I didn't get into it right away but as my oldest kept talking about it I decided to start watching.. this was in season 2 so of course I had to go and watch season 1 as well to get caught up. lol

I love Daryl and I was starting to like his brother.

I love Crow and Costner but I'm old school superman fan and I refuse to watch the new one. I love the classics and that's good enough for me.

World War Z starts this weekend and I really want to see that.

This Superman is worth seeing for some things. Loved Henry Cavill in the role. He really fit it. The last movie on Superman I totally skipped.

I love Darryl and he really shows growth as a person. I love that about him. They all do kind of. Merle totally great for that. He redeemed himself.

I watched it all. I was so sad watching Darryl and Merle there. Merle really redeemed himself in the end there. I cannot wait until October. I love this show! Totally love it. Rick is so good and human. He makes mistakes and all that. I find him totally believable.
