I have had conversations this weekend with the two veterans in my family, my brother and my father. They both have served in foreign wars. I thank them and all those who did so. Thinking of them and everyone who died so that we can be free.

I was struck by a story on the news of a WWII vet who wrote a symphony at the end of that war. It was finally played for the first time in Washington DC. The man is 93 years old and heard his music played by the Army symphony for the first time. That was really something.

Just some thoughts.

I heard a little of the piece on the news. Seemed nice and melodic. I think it would be interesting to see it.
