Well, it is the first night here without any Olympics on the TV. I miss it! I really do. No results to check on or athletes to watch in competition. Much as I hated the coverage, I really enjoyed watching the events on TV and that sense that the whole world was watching at the same time. A sense of global unity and all that. It was awesome. The next Winter Olympics are in Russia and the next Summer Games are in Rio, I think. I am glad there are an Olympics every two years.

Anyhoo. Thoughts tonight on the the international competition. I really did enjoy the Closing Ceremonies and the selection of music - Fatboy Slim, John Lennon, George Michael, Annie Lennox, David Bowie - really good and that is not all. I have the end to watch on my DVR.
