Consigned to my fate...

phynckeToday I woke up unusually early and I owe that to the shift in the hour. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. I decided to catch up on some on some DVRed shows and watched some episodes of Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls that I had stored. I really am enjoying these two comedies and I chuckled over coffee until...
I had to go to my salon for hair and nails. That all went to plan and my grey is again covered and my hands look smooth and professional. Image in tact for a week's worth of work and meetings. Appearances.
Then I went over to my friend J's house and we went driving around points in the East Bay - Lafayette and Walnut Creek - for good deals and as the title of this post indicates - consignment stores. J had the list of places researched but we found that some were out of business and some not open on Sunday. Alack.
We went further afield and found happier hunting - a trinkety place with chotchkes and colored glass. I got a little circular box that I really like, kind of a mosaic thing. We found some clothing consignment places full of clothing that was mostly too small but I did find one Eileen Fisher shirt that would have retailed for over 60.00 and I got it for 20.00. Deal!
I also found some 50% classical music at Barnes and Noble and bought a book. I endeavor to read more current fiction.
We had a nice happy hour lunch at a local pub and then hit Safeway for some coupon shopping.
A true bargoon day. Fun was had. No bunday today going ad hoc with that.
