phynckeLee Pace has been cast to play Thranduil in the upcoming movie, The Hobbit. Here is a picture. He is handsome and a bit of an obscure choice for the elven king. Good bone structure and Juilliard trained.
Much was made of David Tennant getting this role but I think that given his versatility, that would have worked too.
Anyways. I don't know this person as an actor so fingers crossed!
