Holiday report from New Hampshire...

Holiday good cheer. I am so pleased with my decision to come home for the holidays. Just watching my niece and hanging out with her. She is just an amazing kid with a great personality and an infectious laugh. She got herself up at 6:30 pm and was zonked as we ate our brunch. I think she is napping now. We are back at my parents house. We had her be the Christmas elf and hand out the gifts, a duty that she took very seriously. My older brother is a cool dude. He was the one who was over in Iraq and he is in the reserves now. They had to mobilize here in New Hampshire for the ice storms and power outages a few weeks ago. He is great and we fall into that same jovial, teasing thing we always did when we were younger. IQ drops a few points and humor up some notches. My Dad just shakes his head. *snicker*
I spent the night from Monday to Tuesday with my friend Moey. We just chatted the time away. We have been friends since we were six years old. First grade basically. Seeing her is like no time has passed either. Instantly comfortable and we are such good friends. Her daughter gets a bit peckish and I think that is because I take her momma's attention away from her. Only child and what not. She went snicker snack but you have to roll with that. Kiddos, you know. I can see why. She is not used to me and all that. I am there for one day...no reason to make waves. We still had fun. I also think Christmas puts some kids on edge. All that "stuff".
The weather is warming up and the snow is melting here. It is down to about half the level it was two days ago. I got some new clothes at JJILL and I am going to have to ship a box back to Cali. I think I will lighten my load there too and carry less. Yay. Less to trudge through the airports with. I think the weather will be better on the return trip. Ya.
I hope everyone is having a nice holiday and enjoying time with loved ones. Be well.
Tomorrow's plans are the latest Keanu movie, sushi and shopping with bro. Yayus.
