phynckeI have my computer back from the shop and it was wiped clean. You can try and locate these things on the your drive or you can start over. I have an external HD and it was all backed up so I had my tech guy wipe my lappy clean and that killed the sucker dead.
Good news is my computer is faster than it was before. I have not lost any data and I will be back to normal in a few days. The only thing I don't have is PSP 10 but I have that covered.
I have begun reloading things and will be working to setting things to rights here.
All systems go. Woo.
(Note--my friend, also a tech head said that one way to avoid infection is to set up a user account on your computer that does not have admin privs and use that to work on mainly. This way, viruses cannot download when you are using that account. I have set up a secondary account through Windows here and will be using that as my main user acct. I will log onto my admin acct to do maintenance etc. This does seem logical. That way...no accidental viral downloads. Just a tip I got as I was dealing with this.)
