Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007 - now)

The daily life of the Kardashians, reality TV show.
I found myself watching this today and felt compelled to write a review of this. Honestly, I watched it, why not review it? Let it be known that this review is biased by my anti-Kardashian feelings. I really cannot stand them. On the episodes I happened to watch, they were vacationing in the Dominican Republic.
I am struck by what this show does not do - they don't take any opportunities to educate viewers on the locations they go to, show scenery outside of their compound or do anything of social value. Why should I expect that? I mean they are the Kardashians. They really just want to show off how rich they are and how they can afford to have every meal made for them and served to them in luxury. They never cook but they always eat. This is not really "reality" TV because reality for most people is the minutiae of life and getting by. This is a glimpse into the how the rich and famous do it.
In terms of who I like best on here - Kim Kardashian is not so bad really. She is reasonable. Kourtney is a bit OCD and controlling. The mother is also controlling and wants things her own way. That is about as deep into it as I can get. Honestly - they are terrible but I found myself interested enough to watch but I do wonder at the US and why these people are famous. Although they really do have a knack at packaging themselves - they are really good at that and at manipulating the public. Famous for being famous. That is pretty good. Bruce Jenner seems sad here and somewhat pathetic...
Anyways. I hate them but I had to watch or was it just because I had nothing else to do? Maybe that was it. I don't know. Inconclusive review in a drug induced haze.
