Count down...to H-O-L-I-D-A-Y

All my away messages are up (and I cover numerous emails so that is a few of them) so no one better bother me with anything here. LOL. I am gone...gone for the holidays. I have a few hours still to work but will spend that cleaning my desk and futzing around here and going for coffee with my work friends. La.

I am sure I will summon another post for the holidays but tomorrow I fly to NH to see my family. It will be a bit sad as my brother is on active duty in Kuwait (Army National Guard). That is the main reason I am going there this year as I feel like my niece needs some extra something to keep her from missing him at this time of year. So off I go. I am going to see my oldest friend in the world. We have known each other since 1st grade. Very psyched about that.

Tomorrow I spend the day travelling and I am routed through Vegas. Hopefully I picked the least snowbound route.

Anyhoo.

Do I Have Your Attention? Tomorrow is the Deadline so ...

Get a move on Tolkien fan fic writers...

...it is time to sign up for the My Slashy Valentine fic swap. This has been taken over by the very capable red_lasbelin who is running on a very tight time table this year, so there is only one week to get your requests in for that fic you have always wanted. Once you sign up, you will also be asked to write a fic. That is right...it is a fic exchange. You don't get to know who is writing for you until the unveiling (and vice versa). That is the fun part.

I already signed up! You have until TOMORROW! December 21st to formulate and submit your request, preferences for your story both the one you will write and have written.

Here are the key dates and time points for the swap:

* Sign-up period: December 14 - December 21 ***Tomorrow is it!****
* Assignments to be distributed: by December 28
* Deadline for first-time participants: January 31, 2010
* Deadline for returning participants: February 7, 2010
* Archive opens: February 14, 2010

So get a move on! You don't want to miss out! It is loads of fun!
