The answer to the Friday contest was Azeri or Ajerbajani. [livejournal.com profile] blue_blue was the winner of that particular contest. Just one winner this time. Thank you to all those who participated in the contest this time. I know that the text did not come out on some computers so it was more difficult. So...thanks!

Had to cancel the hair/beauty thing today. Mainly due to the spending spree I went on yesterday. I bought tons of stuff. Cat food, clippers, new collar and tags. Hmm what else. Toothbrushes, mounds of ibuprophen, batteries. We went to a close out sale at the Porch Light, this cute little store that is moving to Portland, OR. They have lovely linens and crockery and candles and soaps and things. I bought a gift for someone and some things for me. All discounted of course.

I also had my first Walmart experience. Oh my. That place is worse than Target! Huge and full of shit. I mean really. Shopping to the max. I was able to get a new DVD player for a reasonable price, though. I wanted a digital camera but cannot afford that this month. Even I know when to stop buying. I have been advised by [livejournal.com profile] khylea to look on ebay for this item and she is a fount of wisdom on such matters. I will do my best to comply. I think I can get a good deal. I love ebay anyways. So I will start to look there. She gave me the lowdown on what to look for in cameras so away I go with all the pertinent facts. *gives her a noogie*

We watched a good movie last night. Flight of the Phoenix, 2004. Now this got panned at the time but I have to tell you, we were all riveted, absolutely riveted. It was compelling and well acted. The only people I knew were Dennis Quaid (*heart*) and Miranda Otto (Eowyn). But the cast was solid in all their wise-cracking glory. I also knew Giovanni Ribisi who was so not like him. So here is the synopsis of the film...*cough* movie. With promo poster.

It also had a kick ass song in there by Outkast so. I liked it. I really did. The mens were cute. Mm hmm. Yes they was.

So Sunday will be full of cleaning and tidying. Might organize my books and such. So that is what I am doing.

*cheers*

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] larian as I was reading through the last few days of LJ. It is a weird little meme.

What You Really Think Of Your Friends
Alexcat is your soulmate.
You truly love Tuxedo_elf.
You consider Rumil_of_lorien your true friend.
You know that Jaiden_s is always thinking of you.
You'll remember Nienna_weeper for the rest of your life.
You secretly think Larian is creative, charming, and a bit too dramatic at times.
You secretly think that Claudi007 is colorful, impulsive, and a total risk taker.
You secretly think that Say_aye is loyal and trustworthy to you. And that Say_aye changes lovers faster than underwear.
You secretly think Blue_blue is shy and nonconfrontational. And that Blue_blue has a hidden internet romance.
