Urte Ostiral!!!

That means, you guessed it---Happy Friday!!! The phone lines are open...erm...comment if you will to guess which language that is in. You will win a custom designed icon on a subject of your choosing. The contest closes at 6:00 pm Pacific time though I am a softie and if someone guesses after that, I am sure I will allow it. :)

There are still some from last week who have yet to let me know their choices for an icon. The following should give me a holler either here or via e-mail to let me know....[livejournal.com profile] claudi007, [livejournal.com profile] blue_blue and [livejournal.com profile] fairjennet. I owe all of you icons and will be happy to oblige.

On to the weather....it was a cold and foggy night and a cold and foggy morning in Bezerkely. I am happy to report to you. I had to wear a sweatshirt this morning for my walk to work. Excellent. It will probably be in the low 80's here today. Though further east over the hills will record higher temps. Those poor people. They do have air conditioning though. No one in Berkeley really does. At the Uni we don't, just fans here.

Anyway. No need to panic today. *sheepish grin*

Afternoon Edit: Well just had a lovely lunch to congratulate someone on getting hired here. Heh. Ate a huge plate of pasta and now I need a nap. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

There is a retirement party this afternoon so there will be more food to eat. Today is just a total oink-fest as far as I am concerned. *oink* Not that it really bothers me.

I am just sitting here sipping tea. How very civilized you say? Yes, that is me.

Cool breeze coming in. Ahhhhh.

Evening edit: Captain's Log Supplemental 6:11 pm

The answer is, and it is no surprise....

Basque!!!

I owe icons to lots of people now...you know who you are. Send me an e-mail with your icon preference. Will get hopping.

Good night and good....hoot.

Admittedly, I grew up in Massachusetts but this is good.

Wicked good. *winks*

You Know You're From New Hampshire When...

You say "wicked" instead of "really."

Your idea of a good meal is Katie's Country Kitchen

You drive a Suburu

Half of your clothes are from L.L. Bean

You rather vacation in New Zealand than Florida

Motorcycle Weekend is the highlight of your summer

When you take your yearly trip into Boston, you "pak ya cah in Havad Yad"

"Vacation" means going to Burlington for the weekend.

You go out of state and don't understand what "tax" means on your receipt

You think of the major food groups as venison, beer, fish, and berries.

You refer to the Patriots as "we".

You can identify a Massachusetts accent.

You can visit Berlin, New London, Bethlehem, Lisbon, Lebanon and Dublin all in one afternoon.

Down South to you means Boston.

You consider Manchester exotic.

You don't have a coughing fit from one sip of Ballantine Ale.

You can actually pronounce Kancamagus.

You know what a bubbler is.

Your neighbor throws a party to celebrate his new machine shed.

You go out for fish fry every Friday.

You can recognize someone from Massachusetts from their driving.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from New Hampshire.

And yes, I have driven on the Kancamagaus Highway...*titter*
