phyncke: (Dance in Motion)
So I went to the chiro again yesterday morning and had very much the same treatment as the first time and my brachial plexus thingie keeps getting better and better. I had the ultra sound muscle stimulation thing and she worked the area quite a lot. Then 20 minutes in the gihugic ice pad. Then adjusted.

Now I thought I would post what the chiropractic staple gun thingie or activator looks like. This thing is the best thing since sliced bread. I bet most of you have seen this but I never had. The last chiro I went to used his hands and jerked me around scaring the bejesus out of me. This thing is much more humane and precise. The use it on your spine and it makes a clicking sound when it is pressed along the pressure points on your spine. Here is why it is so good...

An Activator is a small hand-held instrument that looks and acts similar to a 6- inch pogo stick. A spring inside delivers a high-speed, but gentle, thrust to the vertebrae or joint via a small rubber tip. Using the activator, rather than a manual adjustment, the patient’s muscle resistance is not fighting against the adjustment. In contrast, a typical manual adjustment requires the chiropractor to bend and twist the patient into positions that are not natural to the body, causing the patient to tense up. Patients remain in their own clothing during adjustments, making a visit to the chiropractor relatively quick and uncomplicated.

I love this thing!

I have three more treatments coming up and am so happy with the person I am seeing. I used to fear the chiropractor but I am so pleased to have found a good person. Halleluja, amen.
