No Fraiku this morning as that book is at work and that is where I usually post from.
I woke up this morning to find some things out of place. A wine glass broken and my trash can knocked over in the office. I had woken up in the middle of the night but not put two and two together.

(07-20) 07:42 PDT OAKLAND -- The 4.2 magnitude earthquake that rattled the Bay Area this morning broke a few windows and temporarily took out power for thousands of people in Oakland, but caused no major damage, officials said.
Electricity went out for about 4,600 people in Oakland after the 4:42 a.m. trembler hit, said Pacific Gas and Electric Co. spokeswoman Susan Simon. By 6:50 a.m., only about 400 customers were still in the dark.
"There were no major reports of damage, and our crews are working to restore power to the rest of our customers," she said, adding that officials are not sure what exactly caused the four separate outages.
U.S. Geological Survey spokeswoman Leslie Gordon said the quake was centered about two miles east of Oakland on the Hayward fault.
"We consider that a light earthquake," she said. "It's not unusual. I know it was felt fairly widely, as far north as Sonoma. There was weak to light shaking in most areas."
Gordon said about 5,500 people registered this morning to access a map on the USGS Web site, which allows the public to report where the earthquake was felt and how strongly. The map shows weak to light shaking in the East Bay and North Bay, as well as San Francisco and the northern area of the Peninsula.
"They didn't feel it in San Jose ... most areas reported weak to light shaking and those closest epicenter reported moderate shaking," she said. "I heard there were some windows breaking at a grocery store in Berkeley and a donut shop, but it was all pretty minor. It didn't interrupt donut production."
Gordon said the quake was not unusual.
"I want to tell people that it was both figuratively and literally a wake up call this morning," she said. "Just be ready -- this is totally normal."
Fuck.
It was not the cat.
