Retail Therapy
Sep. 11th, 2005 11:12 pmSo it is not as though I do not have enough books or anything but I got two more Lord of the Rings related reference books this week that I am all excited about. The reason I mention them today is that I bought one of them (an atlas) this very night. Impulse purchase.
They are:
The Atlas of the Middle-Earth
by Karen Wynn Fonstad
The Complete Tolkien Companion
by J.E.A. Taylor
I am in love with the atlas book because I am in RPG's and I am always trying to figure out where in Arda things are happening or where they should go or how to get from one place to another in a way that makes sense. This book will be invaluable for plotting story lines or those potential fics that I might want to write. Meeep. I have a few buzzing around in my head.
The Complete Tolkien is an A-Z reference so I can look things up easily. Very nifty. A good tool for when I do not want to use Encyclopedia of Arda online.
All in all these were two good finds. I spent money that I should not but then again I always do.
Cheers and goodnight.
