Daily writing...

It is nice to be on a daily writing schedule now. I am working on my story pretty regularly and getting it done. I like feeling like it is going somewhere and taking shape, the feeling like I am productive. I am in mid first draft and the way I write is that I usually write and edit as I go. Then once the draft is finished, I print it for a read through and pencil edits and mark ups. I try to let the story sit a while too. At least a week between reads and then I edit, edit, edit before it goes to beta.

I sometimes have a friend do a read when it is in rough, unformed form to see if I am on the right track or if it is totally off.

Just thought I would share a little bit about my writing process.

I cheat and sneak it in at work too. I keep the file open and add things into my story while I am sposed to be working on other things. La.

I am not always that disciplined. The story I am working on now is not really on a time table.

That can be good. I have to focus on one at a time. I guess that is how I work.
