phynckeMy brother, David, leaves for his 18 month tour in Iraq this week. I am calm and together on the outside but quite upset all the same. I worry that something will happen to him and that my niece will never see her daddy again.
Real world comes crashing into this journal. My brother is an honest, forthright person and will do his duty as ordered. I will do my part and worry the whole time he is over there.
Sigh.
I talked to him on Sunday to wish him a farewell and safe journey. I will be able to keep in touch with him via e-mail so that is good.
It sux basically. No way around that.
