phynckeHad a phenomenal weekend over the Labor Day. A good friend was in town for the duration and we went sight seeing out and about in the Bay Area of SF.
Up to the wilds of Jenner we went on the first day and it was peaceful and relaxing. We ate at a restaurant en route and then relaxed at Goat Rock beach to watch the pelicans diving. We did not see any seals but the waves crashing were a sight to behold.
On the second day, we went to Muir Beach and Muir woods and that was much more crowded. Too many peopled. I would like to go back to Muir Woods in mid-winter when there would be less people around. Why people feel the need to gibber-jabber to each other while looking at majestic redwoods and sequoias is beyond me. Still it was lovely and then we went to the beach and it was packed there as well. Too much of humanity for my taste.
On day three we went to Half Moon Bay and then Pompono Beach down south. Peace and relaxation! Ahhh. A lot less people down there.
I love California beaches. All in all it was a fun time. It was good to see my friend Eric and we had a lovely time.
