Move along if you are not interested. I am a supporter of Obama's campaign and to be honest - the thought of a Republican win is very frightening to me. I am watching the GOP Convention just to see what they are saying and I find I cannot actually believe anything they say. They are talking more about the current administration than about what they will actually practically do in office. I am not hearing anything substantial or policy related. If you listen carefully - this is true - not much more than a critic - I want to hear their plan, and specifics, not generalities. I am a voter. I want to know what they are going to do. I guess more on that in the debates.

So I saw this interesting article posted on FB and thought I would share it. It relates to the debt picture and is an analysis of it in real terms - without the posturing. It really is a layered problem that has accumulated over time and many administrations. You can mainly attribute it to the Bush Jr. Administration if you want to point fingers but I see it as a cumulative thing really, layer upon layer going back to 2001 (the last surplus).

Last thought - I think Ryan would make a far better presidential candidate than Romney - based on his speech at the convention. I was absolutely impressed by him. I was prepared to shred him but he rocked it. I cannot stand his politics but he is a way better speaker than his running mate for sure. Scary. He nailed it. I found myself really listening to what he was saying and I wonder who his speech writer is. But the delivery is totally there. Props to him.
