Movie Review - Lock Out

Here is my movie review for today's film. We really wanted to see Safe House but that was no longer playing so I picked Lock Out. Lame. Even Guy Pearce could not save this poorly written, lame movie about a prison riot on an orbiting penal space station in the not so distant future. Prisoners serve their sentence in stasis and essentially are kept asleep in little pods but this is not without its side effects (brain damage and dementia). It was a short movie (1.5 hours) but it felt really long. The twist at the end was ok but most of it was predictable and ho-hum. As I said on Facebook - I would wait for this to come on cable late at night and watch it when nothing else is on. Really, not worth the cost of admission.
I did have fun with my friend. We took a walk on the waterfront piers in Emeryville and enjoyed a nice lunch of Mexican food at Chevy's. I still had a good time.
Cheers to you and yours!
