Movie Review - Real Steel!

What a totally fun movie. I know when I saw the preview of this, I thought -- why is this not called Rock -em, Sock-em Robots?*. That would have been good, right? Well, this is a fun movie that totally gets you into it and is a true underdog story which delivers on that. The audience was cheering at the end where I saw it....total engagement. In fact people cheered and reacted throughout the movie. I have not seen that kind of reaction to a film in a while. Good wholesome fun and Hugh Jackman, very fun and totally gorgeous. This is a family movie too. You can take the kids...no foul language at all.

Did this entertain? Yes it did. I loved it. Good solid premise and I don't even like to watch real boxing but I could watch these robots. I, personally, got very attached to the robots. They were very well done.

*on that one...I had Rock-em, Sock-em Robots as a kid. That might be why I wanted to see this one. I loved that game! There must have been trademark issues with that name.
