So it became evident last night that it was time for Teddy. His breathing got labored in the evening and it occurred to me that my vet had said the cancer was pretty far along and I thought he might be in some pain. Cats don't let you know when they are in pain - they are such stoic little critters. They hide it so well. So I made the decision to have him euthanized. I had to take him to the emergency vet as it was after hours and they were really good with this. They let me go in with him and stay until the very end. I double masked and went in there and stayed until he passed. He was such a trooper. He has always been great at the vet and he was last night. He is always really curious there so he looks around and takes it all in. They wrapped him in warm blankets and we could let him go. It is a really hard thing to do but I know that it was the right time. No lingering suffering for my Teddy. Rest in peace my little Bubbah. I will see you again.
