Really sad news

So I got really sad news about my cat, Teddy. I had to take him into the emergency vet last night - he was experiencing labored breathing and it turned out he had fluid surrounding his lungs. The vet told me right off that this was very bad news and that any number of bad conditions could be causing this. She drained the fluid and based on how the fluid looked - it indicated that Teddy has cancer. Probably some kind of tumor or something. I opted not to spend a ton of money on diagnostics because the vet said it would not alter the outcome by much. I cannot really afford all that and because of what is happening - it seems like it is pretty far along. I am going to make him comfortable for the time he has left and enjoy the time he has left.
