Happy New Year!
Dec. 31st, 2019 04:37 pmHey all - a happy new year to all on this thing. I am home in Berkeley CA with a cold I picked up in New Hampshire while I was there visiting family. The gift that keeps on giving. I am staying in tonight and I feel a nap coming on so going to go do that now. I thought I would post to see who is around and hanging out on here. My last post got no comments so that is something.
I am going to try and post weekly here and keep things going in 2020. That is as close to a resolution as I will get on here. I want to be more present on LJ/DW. That is all I will say on that. I have lost my bandwidth on the photobucket so no pretty graphics anymore - just the post and only the post. I am tired of graphics for now. I don't have the stamina to keep up images anymore.
I had a good time with my family - my parents are old and I need to wrestle with that fact in my mind and prepare my self for their end of life stuff. I am seeing a therapist here in Berkeley so will start to talk about that with my counselor. It is best to be prepared for all this stuff in your mind. My parents are doing well - they are healthy and fairly well - they argue a lot but that is how they are - they communicate on the loud plain.
I had a really good time with my brother, David - we went to see a comedy show in Massachusetts in our home town and just get a long really well. It was very good to see him home from his deployment and relaxing at home. He is happy to be done with his military stint in Europe and able to get back to his life.
I go back to work on the 2nd of January and have lots to do there. Will be busy. I need to get going on my Slashy Valentine story. I got a good request but need to start formulating that in my mind and all that. Time to move it along.
