Haiku Poems by Basho
Apr. 12th, 2013 07:48 pmHere are some Haiku poems by Basho. I thought these would add to our poetry appreciation. I really love haiku and the form of it. We used to always write those in grammar school and I have a bunch of books of haiku's. Really peaceful little poems.
butterflies flit
in a field of sunlight
that is all
Flower
under harvest sun - stranger
To bird, butterfly.
Searching storehouse eaves,
rapt in plum blossom smells,
the mosquito hums
From all these trees –
in salads, soups, everywhere –
cherry blossoms fall
