In light of today's events...
Jul. 20th, 2012 02:43 pmThey canceled the Paris premiere of the Batman movie. I think that was fitting.
I was just stunned this morning when I saw the news about what had happened in Aurora, CO. My heart felt like it stopped and it is just senseless violence. I go to movies all the time and just the thought that something like that could happen when you are out seeing a film. I can see how those people in there would think it was a promo trick and sit there. It is that kind of movie too. Unbelievable. I felt that Obama's words on this were appropriate and heartfelt. I felt like he related it to himself and his own family and took the time to address the country when we needed him. He really is a good President.
I cannot believe this has happened. I had to call my Mom on my walk to work to just talk about it. She had not seen the news so I had to let her know.
My thoughts and prayers for those who have fallen and their families. Prayers for the injured and that they make it through. In Jewish faith you say the mourners kaddish for those who have died. So sad.
