I really enjoyed this program! I have been enjoying the little previews through the trailers they have been showing all along and now WOW. Here it is - this is a subtly nuanced and quirky performance by (I cannot call him Will) Erin McCormack (formerly on Will and Grace). He is a college professor, neuroscientist and I love how the show begins and ends with his lecture. So much goodness here - we have tidbits of neuroscience, his mental illness and visions infultrate his life and he is a functionally mental ill eccentric who is brilliant. It is amazing to watch this actor in this role. I just think he is wonderful in this role. Lots to hold your interest, lots to like and he is funny all along. Just great. And by the way, they solve the crime.

I will for sure be watching this. I have it set to record on my DVR so I won't miss this. Love this show! Have I said this? Love it!

Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson runs the Priority Homicide Division of the LAPD with an unorthodox style. Her innate ability to read people and obtain confessions helps her and her team solve the city's toughest, most sensitive cases.

I cannot believe that The Closer is on its last five episodes. What can you say about the character of Brenda Lee Johnson - the tenacious investigator who heads up Los Angeles Major Crimes. She is flawed, she has a sugar addiction but she closes her cases. I have been following this show for quite some time and it really revolves around this very strong central character played by Kyra Sedgwick. She is really great here in playing a strong female lead with guts and determination. I will be sorry to see this character go but I have enjoyed her performance in this role. Hats off Brenda Lee and you have worn some great hats!

Note - there is going to be a new show called Major Crimes with some of the supporting cast from this show less the Brenda Lee character. I will check that out and let you know how that is. I am unsure how that will work without this strong central character to anchor the show. Have to see on that.
