Hunger Games Review ...
Mar. 25th, 2012 02:12 amHere is a no spoiler review. I am not going to tell you anything about the plot of this movie because I feel that you should see the movie. This movie delivers on its premise in a lush, detailed, futuristic platform of sci fi goodness. The political backdrop of the story is interesting and is played out in this installation of the Hunger Games.
There are a lot of good things about this production - the clothing, costumes and hair clearly set it apart as a "universe" apart from our own with its own rules and political structure. Down to the make up and facial hair so well defined and sculpted.
What I also found great - over the top performance by Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson as a drunken, yet wise coach for the team that we are following so closely (District 12).
Anyways. Well worth a watch, the ending is ambiguous, at best.Could be more of these? I don't know. The books are a trilogy, so there should be more movies.
